About Howzy

Howzy is a random chat site for South Africa. The idea is as simple as the greeting it is named after: say howzit to someone you have never met and see where the conversation goes.

Most places to chat online want something first: an account, an app, a profile, a subscription. Howzy wants three answers and permission to use your camera. There is no payment system anywhere on the site, so nothing is held back for people who pay.

Chats are one to one and live. Video and sound go directly to the person you are paired with and are never recorded or stored, and a chat ends the moment you press Stop. If someone behaves badly, one tap reports and blocks them. Howzy is for adults only.
